The team: Andrew Dusek

Andrew Dusek

Andrew Dusek is a 2010 graduate of The University of Montana with degrees in journalism and international relations. Currently, he works as a researcher for the Genocide Prevention Program at the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, which engages heads of state, diplomats, and academics to prevent genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and mass atrocities in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. During the past year, Andrew served on international delegations focusing on the nexus between human rights and development in Rwanda and post-conflict transformation in Bosnia with an organization called Global Youth Connect. He has also traveled and conducted research in Kosovo, Serbia, and Northern Ireland. After the UBELONG expedition, Andrew plans to spend several months in Thailand volunteering with an NGO and teaching English and human rights. In the near future, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations or human rights. Andrew is originally from Montana.
